Paul Daniels is an LA born and based multi-disciplinary artist specializing in expressionistic portraiture. At an early age, he was inspired to draw the iconic athletes and musicians of the era from Mike Tyson to Michael Jordan, to Tupac and Biggie. After high school, the realization of achieving his childhood dream of becoming an artist was postponed in favor of a college education and a career in real estate and marketing. As an adult in his 30’s, he decided to pursue his passion by painting inspirational athletes and iconic figures as purely a creative outlet. Having no formal training, within a year of starting to paint, he garnered the attention of the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Sports Museum LA; who have all acquired his work. He was soon meeting the legends from his childhood including Magic Johnson, Bo Jackson, and Stan Lee, who were signing his canvases as well. Dodgers Stadium, Staples Center, and the Reagan Library have all exhibited his artwork, and some of his clients include Sylvester Stallone, Swizz Beatz, Berry Gordy, and various NBA, NFL, and boxing stars. In 2020, he created a Kobe tribute mural (his first) at Hotel Figueroa across from Staples Center which gained global recognition. Currently, Paul is branching out into more culturally and socially diverse themes in his work, such as Native American and indigenous inspired art, as well as a body of work centered around female portraiture. New work to be released in early/mid 2024.
